Aït Benhaddou ouarzazat

Ait Ben Haddou:

Aït Benhaddou is an attractive village in the district of Ouarzazate. Aït Benhaddou is one of the several places in this section used for shooting Hollywood films. Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia, The Wind and the Lion, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, The Mummy and the Jewel of the Nile were all recorded here. Orson Welles used it as a location for Sodom and Gomorrah, and for Jesus of Nazareth, the entire lower part of the village was reconstructed. The more meticulous renovation has been carried out in recent years under UNESCO sponsorships.

Kasbah Aït Benhaddou

Ait Ben Haddou is made up of six Kasbahs (forts) and roughly fifty small palace constructions. Tourists can climb to the top or take a donkey across the river to discover this UNESCO World Heritage site
